Ritual Healing

Because there are so many different ways that people experience spirituality and religion, talking about ritual healing is not an easy thing. We find that each person experiences growth and healing in unique and individual ways. So, it is not something we speak lightly of nor advertise in the way we do our other services.

We choose to say a few things here because at times, we are asked individually and together to help people in this special and unique way. In ritual healing, we begin simply with having someone share with us their intention, spiritual imagery and ways that they want to cared for. We begin with a simple laying on of hands and utilize a variety of ways of moving and holding the body to allow the individual to experience the process which will occur. Modern techniques of body mind emotional release, visualizations and prayers along with ancient traditions of drumming, rattling and vocalizing may be used.
When we serve people in this way, we choose to approach it with a sincere sense of humility, faith and wonder. We do our best to clear ourselves of willfulness, expectations and control. We commit to becoming, in the old traditional way, the "hollow bone", a channel/conduit for Spirit to work.

For us this is a spiritual matter, so in order to do this in a good way, we follow the tribal tradition of doing "give away" This is a tradition of giving what you have clearly and unconditionally without thought of repayment. This again is different from other work we do. We invite those we serve in a similiar fashion to be open to doing "give away" and offer what they can and what they feel it is worth.
