One of my true life passions has always been my intimate relationship with the plant world. I was born a gardener, following in the loving footsteps of my father. He and I shared the love of growing things and planted vegetable gardens together into my adult years. The belief that everything in life has a spirit is an essential part of my Finnish and Anishenabe/Ojibiway ancestry. My interests in plants include formal training in landscape and garden design.

In the creation of my living artwork, I enjoy expressing many of the spirtual values dear to me. Significant among these is the pure pleasure of getting my hands dirty playing in Mother Earth's soil.
